More of a love seat for two than a simple, single chair, the SB03-1 Rocker does away with the traditional legs and arms for a look that is more streamlined and simple. Of course, the use of harris tweed upholstery provides a homey aesthetic that is epitomized by the rocking chair. Designed by Baines&Fricker, a husband and wife run studio based in Brighton, East Sussex, England, the SB03-1 Rocker is the first piece in their SB03 series. Made out of elm wood, the SB03-1 Rocker would fit into any home perfectly, be it traditional or modern. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modern Rocking Chairs:** Designers are updating classic rocking chairs with modern, streamlined looks to elevate their appeal. - **Love Seat Alternatives:** Love seats for two are being replaced by updated rocking chairs for a more unique and modern look. - **Harris Tweed Upholstery:** The homely aesthetic of harris tweed upholstery is being utilized more in modern rocking chair designs for a cozy appeal. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers looking to innovate may consider creating modern, streamlined rocking chairs as an alternative to traditional love seats. - **Home Decor Retail:** Retailers in the home decor industry can promote new, modern rocking chairs as a fresh and unique alternative to traditional love seats. - **Textile Manufacturing:** Textile manufacturers may consider utilizing harris tweed upholstery in their designs to appeal to the cozy and homely aesthetic of modern rocking chairs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Fabric-Wrapped Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zhe-rocking-chair.md) - [Sleek Structural Rocking Horses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocking-horse-chair.md) - [Wooden Lounge Rocking Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nice-chair.md) - [Geometric Rocking Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oval-rocking-chair.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [Rocking Table-Mounted Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espattio-platero-rocking-table.md) - [Playground-Inspired Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-seat.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Pouffe Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platero.md)
