Capacitive touchscreens work when mico-currents interact with the screen to create a response. Winter weather presents a problem because wearing gloves blocks the flow of micro-currents and prevents the gadget from working. Enter the sausage. Sorth Koreans have discovered that a sausage works quite well as a screen stylus. The practice is so popular, in fact, that small snack sausages have seen a spike in sales. Some users even employ the sausages as drumsticks for the Taiko Drum Master Game. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.8/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Capacitive Touchscreen Accessories:** Opportunity for companies to create innovative accessories that enhance the functionality of capacitive touchscreens. - **Alternative Input Methods:** Exploring and developing unconventional objects or tools as input methods for electronic devices. - **Food-inspired Tech Solutions:** Potential for businesses to create food-related solutions for technological challenges. ### Who This Affects Most - **Consumer Electronics:** Innovative companies in the consumer electronics industry can explore and develop accessories and input methods for capacitive touchscreens. - **Food and Snacks:** Opportunity for the food and snacks industry to create food-inspired tech solutions that solve problems for electronic device users. - **Gaming:** Gaming industry can capitalize on alternative input methods like using sausages as drumsticks to create unique gaming experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gesture-Control Earpiece Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-air-concept.md) - [Colorful Tech Stylus Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/apple-crayon-pro.md) - [Elegant Ergonomic Stylus Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bespoke-smartpens.md) - [Korean BBQ Hot Dogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/korean-bbq-sausage.md) - [Tactical Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pui-series.md) - [Adorable Pebble-Shaped Warmers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cellphone-hand-warmer.md) - [Smartphone-Controlling Sneakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-shortcut-sneaker.md) - [Sea-Inspired Anti-Smartphone Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartphonefasting-sour.md) - [Saltiness-Enhancing Electric Chopsticks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-chopsticks.md)
