The [sauna from Hammacher Schlemmer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sauna-models) has a surface bed containing 440 jade stones that have been used in China for years in order to relax the nervous system. The stones are then heated by an infrared mat and are designed to improve circulation, burn calories, as well as soothe and loosen any tight muscles. The temperature and the amount of time one wants to spend in the sauna can all be adjusted to perfection. The sauna is also sloped where a more comfortable position is attained. With the perfect slope and settings, this will be one sauna you wont want to get out of! The clam shape also gives a fun and creative design appeal to the device. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Personalized Sauna Heat Beds:** Opportunity for disruption in the wellness industry by offering personalized sauna heat beds for the ultimate relaxation experience. - **Infrared Heating Technology:** Potential for disruptive innovation in the heating industry by incorporating infrared heating technology into products like saunas. - **Creative and Fun Design:** Opportunity for disruption in the design industry by introducing creative and fun clam-shaped designs in wellness devices. ### Where This Applies - **Wellness:** Opportunity for disruption in the wellness industry by offering personalized sauna heat beds for the ultimate relaxation experience. - **Heating:** Potential for disruptive innovation in the heating industry by incorporating infrared heating technology into products like saunas. - **Design:** Opportunity for disruption in the design industry by introducing creative and fun clam-shaped designs in wellness devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [At-Home Heat Therapy Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heatpod-sauna-blanket.md) - [Infrared Home Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peak-sauna.md) - [Portable Luxury Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thermowood-minicube-sauna.md) - [Pop-Up Steam Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saunazen.md) - [Modern Home Wellness Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kohler.md) - [Personal Wearable Sauna Blanekts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sauna-slim-blanket.md) - [Architectural Home Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-luminar.md) - [Portable Tent-Style Saunas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iam-sauna.md) - [High-End Sauna Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sauna-models.md)
