Essentially, her unconventional artworks are [miniature scenes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-sculptures) of everyday apartment and condo life. The diorama-like scenes are part of a series called 'The Sardinas.' The series depicts tiny people going about their lives in "lonely apartments," "family condos" and "downtown apartments." Using [figures, fabric and color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bourdon-street-chippy), Alony showcases simplistic everyday activities like attending to a child, working on a computer, watching a movie and eating dinner. She even depicts more intimate everyday activities like going to the bathroom, smoking marijuana and having sex. Though they are only 6 x 10 inch boxes, which once housed salty fish, the cans truly capture life's realities and the things that go on in our homes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Miniature Art:** Artists and innovators can explore the use of small, everyday objects to create unique and imaginative art pieces. - **Unconventional Art Materials:** There is potential for disruptive innovation in using unexpected materials in art creation to create new and impactful art forms. - **Everyday Life Depiction:** Developing art that presents a snapshot of mundane life activities can lead to innovative ways to showcase the beauty in the ordinary. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Sculpture:** Artists can explore the use of unconventional materials and techniques to create beautiful art pieces. - **Home Decor:** Miniature art installations can be incorporated into home decor to add unique and whimsical elements to a living space. - **Toy and Collectibles:** Miniature dioramas and figurines can be marketed as unique collectibles and toys, attracting a target market of collectors and enthusiasts of unconventional art forms. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Canned Fish Dinner Dates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tin-fish-date-night.md) - [Tinned Sea Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-fish-co.md) - [Flavor-Focused Tinned Sardines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tinned-sardines.md) - [Love-Inspired Miniature Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-in-a-bottle.md) - [Gourmet Tinned Fish Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gourmet-tinned-fish.md) - [Mini Hot Sauces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-hot-sauces.md) - [Attractive Canned Foods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nice-cans.md) - [Crystal-Adorned Crushed Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sam-keller.md) - [Adventurous Tinned Fish Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiny-fish.md)
