Damien Hirst, Picasso, me, you. What do we all have in common with people like Sarah Palin? Well, for one, we all doodle when bored. Doodles from Sarah Palin’s days as Mayor of Wasilla have surfaced, and their buzz over them points at the extreme obsession with political celebrity. People are hungry to see the mayoral campaign themes that Sarah Palin doodled on the back of a city budget. Sarah Palin’s qualifications are (according to the doodles) “life-long Alaskan” “NRA supporter”, “taxpayer.” Sarah Palin thought her theme might be “time for a change” or “you would be my boss.” Speaking of political celebrity, Sarah Palin’s beauty pageant evening gown video recently surfaced too. So exciting to live in these times, where the equivalent of doodling - surfing the web looking for Sarah Palin videos - is so popular. Damien Hirst recently sold some [doodles to benefit charity](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tissue-box-collection) and Picasso doodles have been sold for millions at auction. DaVinci’s doodles eventually became [sketches and then more polished drawings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/simple-drawing-ideas), but it looks like Sarah Palin might need some work in this area. Doodling is often used to interpret the interests and motivations of people. Shapes have a meaning that are inherent – the most basic shapes, such as circles, suns, and squares might be among these. Sometimes properties, such as aggression, repetition, fluidity or neatness naturally carry significance. It will be interesting to see how the doodlings of Sarah Palin are interpreted. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Political Celebrity Obsession:** There is an opportunity for disruption in the entertainment industry to address the high demand for political celebrity content. - **Doodling Interpretation:** Innovative companies could develop software that interprets and analyzes doodles to gain insight into the interests and motivations of individuals. - **Online Video Popularity:** Businesses should consider investing in online video platforms to capitalize on the growing popularity of video content, including political celebrity videos. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Entertainment:** The entertainment industry can benefit from the high demand for political celebrity content by creating new shows, movies, and documentaries. - **Technology:** Developing software that interprets and analyzes doodles can disrupt the traditional methods of gaining insight into individuals' interests and motivations. - **Digital Media:** Investing in online video platforms can offer opportunities for businesses to reach audiences through engaging and shareable political celebrity videos. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Playful Doodle-Emblazoned Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sam-cox.md) - [Image Stylization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodlify.md) - [AI-Powered Drawing game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodle-play.md) - [Customizable Kids Wall Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/doodleface.md) - [Apocalypse Post Pandemic Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-urban-art.md) - [Collectible Historical Figurines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/thrilljoy-pix.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md) - [Image-Generating AI Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stability-ai.md) - [Child-Friendly AI Doodles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/childs-doodles.md)
