# Wintery Forest Fixtures The Sapporo Tree Series Mimics the Elegant Beauty of Snow-Covered Boughs By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-01-10 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sapporo-tree References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/51934/) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/LED-lamp-series-SAPPORO-TREE/6449999) Inspired by the way that bare hibernating branches accumulate white snowflakes in the winter, Max Ptk of Ukraine conceived this exquisite [Sapporo Tree](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perfect-cheers) series. The collection comprises a [floor lamp and a ceiling light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting) with gracefully extending boughs that take wonderfully elegant curves. At the tip of each twig is an LED lightbulb that blends in beautifully with the silhouette of every sinuous offshoot. They emit a warm glow for ambient illumination while allowing the fixture to double as a [spectacular sculpture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloome). The pieces bring the beauty of a light-strung decorated landscape into your living spaces. The standing and pendant lamp that makes up the Sapporo Tree series are especially gorgeous accents in minimalist rooms. The two of them are available in blue and black as well in the case of ample white interior design. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Lighting:** The Sapporo Tree series offers a minimalist lighting solution that adds elegance and ambiance to any space. - **Nature-inspired Designs:** The snow-covered branches of the Sapporo Tree series bring the beauty of nature indoors and create a mesmerizing visual effect. - **Dual-purpose Fixtures:** The Sapporo Tree series combines functional lighting with artistic design, serving as both a light source and a stunning sculptural element. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Interior Design:** The Sapporo Tree series can be incorporated into interior design projects to create a unique and visually striking space. - **Lighting Design:** The minimalist design and nature-inspired elements of the Sapporo Tree series offer new possibilities for innovative lighting design concepts. - **Home Decor:** The Sapporo Tree series provides a stylish and artistic addition to home decor, adding a touch of elegance to any room. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bamboo-Inspired Glass Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bamboo-forest-glss.md) - [Willow Tree-Inspired Lighting Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/larose-guyon.md) - [Pine Wood-Inspired Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jakobsson.md) - [Sculptural Wooden Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp.md) - [Evening Sky-Inspired Lighting Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evening-sky.md) - [Nature-Inspired Living Space Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonlight-floor-lamp.md) - [Bamboo Forest-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightbone.md) - [Suspended Origami-Like Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sora-light.md) - [Wall-Mounted Ambient Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ikea-varmblixt-collection.md)
