The design team created the home off of [surviving stone and structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-1627) on the land, constructing a concrete body that is interconnected through a new wooden base. Placed on [acres of farm land](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-in-the-farm), the home has a loft-like feeling with exposed wooden ceilings, concrete walls and large windows that allow beautiful views in each room. With a simple white color scheme mixed with basic structure, the home gives of a comfortable environment that values simplicity. Each part of the home has a specific use, determined through a design with a flowing floor plan. The new Santa Maria House is the perfect blend of high-end amenities with traditional farm land, creating a one-of-a-kind home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: South America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modern Farmhouse Design:** Opportunities to create modern homes that blend with rural surroundings using traditional materials and contemporary design. - **Wooden Interiors:** Opportunities to design homes with exposed wooden ceilings and interiors for a cozy and natural atmosphere. - **Efficient and Specific Floor Plans:** Opportunities to maximize space and functionality by creating designed spaces for specific use. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Architecture and Home Design:** Innovative architects and designers who specialize in creating modern homes using traditional materials that harmoniously blend with natural surroundings. - **Construction and Building Materials:** Use of sustainable or natural materials like wood and stone in construction to create energy-efficient homes. - **Real Estate and Property Development:** To develop properties that balance the comfort and high-end amenities of a modern home with the natural beauty and serenity of rural surroundings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Concrete Brutalist Hilltop Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pedro-domingos-arquitectos.md) - [Nature-Inspired Minimal Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/simara-melo.md) - [Traditional Stone Farmhouse Extensions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-bressan.md) - [Park-Nestled Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-serra.md) - [Expansive Roofs Concrete Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-in-the-farm.md) - [Simple Material Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/openfield-house.md) - [Rural Charred Modern Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stanfordville-house.md) - [Sandy Landscape-Reflective Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-da-encosta-n-grndola.md) - [Seaside Home Renovation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-de-praia.md)
