An easy way to disinfect every surface -- including lavatories -- before the flight is boarded, the sanitizing system boast large wings that emit a strong [UV-C light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/umma-diamond-sonic-toothbrush) to get the job done. This light not only eradicates [harmful germs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/narwal-freo-z10-ultra), it does so in a safe way. Working in under 10 minutes, there is no damage or reaction to any cabin materials when completed. The airplane sanitizing system was created by Mo Kreitenberg and helps ensure people aren't exposed to the common cold, flu or more serious infections, which can linger up to seven days in the cabin. Since airlines constantly battle to gain a competitive advantage, it's only natural they'd want to appeal to people's sense of health and safety. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 17% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/robots) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Airplane Sanitizing Systems:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop advanced sanitizing technologies to ensure passenger health and safety during flights. - **UV-C Light Sanitization:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create UV-C light systems for sanitizing various public spaces, such as hotels, hospitals, and office buildings. - **Fast and Efficient Sanitization:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design high-speed sanitizing systems that can effectively disinfect surfaces in a short amount of time. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Aerospace:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate sanitizing technologies into aircraft design to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for passengers. - **Healthcare:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop portable UV-C light sanitizing devices for hospitals and clinics to combat the spread of infections. - **Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce advanced sanitizing systems in hotels and resorts to enhance guest safety and satisfaction. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Powerful UV Sanitation Wands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uv-sanitizer-wand.md) - [Convenient Home Sanitation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-sanitation-device.md) - [Sprayable Air Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lysol.md) - [Portable UVC Air Disinfectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvo.md) - [Drone-Equipped Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultro-air-purification-system.md) - [Germ-Killing Clothing Cleaners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clothing-care-appliance.md) - [AI-Powered Disinfectant Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uvceed.md) - [Roving Air Purifier Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airbot-z1.md) - [Germ-Killing Karaoke Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airaoke.md)
