The lamp was designed to effectively clear the air of potentially harmful [airborne pathogens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vu-air-ionizer) with the power of a high-density photocatalyst material called ViraPure. The air-permeable lampshade acts as a filter so that pathogens are trapped and killed through a PECO process. With this product, Aleddra addresses one of the major pitfalls of [UVC sanitizing solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ultraviolet-food-storage): the technology cannot be used while people are in a room due to the damage it can do to the eyes and skin. By using only only 2700K and 5000K LEDs and no UVC light sources, the Air-Sanitizing Desktop Lamp offers a safe alternative. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 64% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Air-sanitizing Products:** The trend of everyday products, especially for the workplace, being enhanced with sanitizing features is expected to continue. - **Pecobased Sanitizing:** The use of PECO process in sanitizing lamps is a disruptive innovation that provides a safe and effective alternative to UVC sanitizing solutions. - **Safe Sanitizing Solutions:** The development of products, such as the Air-Sanitizing Desktop Lamp, that utilize safe sanitizing solutions is an area of opportunity for brands. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Office Supplies:** The trend of enhancing everyday items with sanitizing features presents an opportunity for the office supplies industry to innovate and introduce new products. - **Home Appliances:** The trend of air-sanitizing products presents an opportunity for home appliance producers to develop new and innovative products that sanitize the air in households. - **Health and Wellness:** Safe sanitizing solutions provide an opportunity for brands in the health and wellness industry to expand their product lines and increase their market share in the industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Workstation-Sanitizing Task Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-desk-light.md) - [All-Inclusive Air Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-filter1.md) - [Convenient Home Sanitation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-sanitation-device.md) - [Touchless Disinfection Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uvc-led-disinfection-light.md) - [Powerful UV Sanitation Wands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uv-sanitizer-wand.md) - [Light-Integrated Air Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airglow.md) - [Micro Countertop Dish Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desktop-disinfection-cupboard.md) - [Sprayable Air Sanitizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lysol.md) - [Portable UVC Air Disinfectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvo.md)
