The 'BLSTRsander' works by securing grit in a container which then gets conveyed into the device's body and gets ejected out from the front by a spinning disc system made with ceramic, which is said to be more durable than steel. Capable of accepting grit grains measuring in at between 0.2 and 0.5 millimeters wide, the 'BLSTRsander' allows users to adjust the amount and velocity at which grit is thrown out. Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign over on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evoduster), this innovatively designed sand blaster can be procured for a pledge of $279. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 21% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Home Sand Blasting:** The 'BLSTRsander' is a self-contained sand blaster that can be used without a separate air compressor, making it easy to use in a home environment. - **Durable Ceramic Discs:** The 'BLSTRsander' utilizes a spinning disc system made with ceramic, offering a more durable alternative to steel discs in sand blasting. - **Customizable Grit Ejection:** With the 'BLSTRsander', users have the ability to adjust the amount and velocity at which grit is thrown out, allowing for customizable sand blasting experiences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Improvement:** The 'BLSTRsander' caters to the home improvement industry, providing a user-friendly sand blasting solution for DIY enthusiasts. - **Manufacturing:** The durable ceramic disc system used in the 'BLSTRsander' can disrupt the manufacturing industry by offering a longer-lasting and more efficient sand blasting method. - **Tool and Equipment Retail:** The 'BLSTRsander' presents an opportunity for tool and equipment retail businesses to offer a unique and innovative sand blasting device to customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Handheld Inflation Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/makita.md) - [Mini Electric Detail Sanders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neosander.md) - [Rechargeable Dust Blowers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rechargeable-dust-blower.md) - [Compressed Air Dusters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kica-jet-fan-2.md) - [Handheld Air Blower Machines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evoduster-pro.md) - [All-in-One Portable Air Compressors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-air-compressor.md) - [Handheld Air Pumps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/evoduster.md) - [Power-Free Water Blasters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spyralx.md) - [Cordless Electric Multi-Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cordless-multitool.md)
