With a [pool in the back garden](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-o), [spacious living room areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-by-the-grove) and beautiful views, this house has everything one could ask for. The Contemporist states that "the large open living space is central to the organization and performance of the house; the space of exchange." This is what orchestrates much of the abode, as it is a constant contrast between the private and public spaces for people to experience. Since it's quite hot in this area for much of the year, the house has ample space to [relax outside during the evening](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ocean-eye). Mike Jacobs architecture did a great job with designing this concept. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 64% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Variety Entry Options:** Exploring innovative approaches to designing multiple entry points in architecture can enhance user experience and functionality. - **Open Living Spaces:** Creating large, open living spaces as a central feature can foster a sense of connectivity and exchange within a residence. - **Outdoor Relaxation Spaces:** Designing ample outdoor relaxation spaces can cater to the desire for comfort and enjoyment in warmer climates. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can leverage the trend of multiple entry options to create innovative and user-friendly designs. - **Interior Design:** Interior design professionals can explore incorporating open living spaces for a more spacious and connected feel in homes. - **Landscape Design:** Landscape design companies can capitalize on the demand for outdoor relaxation spaces by creating inviting and functional outdoor areas. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Temple-Inspired Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/j-kidman-architecture.md) - [Discreet Modern Brazil Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jf-residence.md) - [Tranquil Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cupertino-courtyard-house.md) - [Patio-Centering Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-tres-patis.md) - [Wave-Inspired Malibu Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inland-lane-residence.md) - [Anticipatory Architectural Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vulcan-house.md) - [Courtyard-Style Californian Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modal-home.md) - [Coastal Courtyard Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patio-house-residence.md) - [Private Lifestyle Minimal Bungalows](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/southwestern-residence.md)
