Each painting is a composition of squares portraying the landscape at a different time of the day. The shadows are altered, the points of light drift from point to point and even the color palette changes as the days wear on. As part of his artist statement, Musgrove explains that he is "drawn to compositions in which [light, shadow, form and color](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorscape-installation) interact to create both balance and surprise." This effect of photos that have been stitched together is a way for the artist to truly portray the essence of his various [San Francisco Landscapes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/masterpieces-ii). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dynamic Landscapes Photography:** Innovative photography techniques that capture ever-changing scenery ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in innovative and creative art techniques with cities and landscapes as the subject - **Tourism:** An opportunity for travel and tourism companies to merge landscape photography with travel content and tours. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Mural Design Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-by-squares.md) - [Laser-Cut Urban Artistry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/laser-cut-city-maps.md) - [Drone-Assisted Landscape Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/katsu-1.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Painting-Immersive Photo Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-ground-exhibition.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md)
