Samuel’s [large-scale murals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-on-space) on ‘American Master’ paper are comprised of graphite and ink. To picture the magnitude of the project, one must imagine an entire wall of a room covered in drawings. Samuel meticulously hand draws each piece little by little until completion. One mural titled ‘Deadpan Comedy’ is a 5-fOOt by 7.5-fOOt drawing. It is made up of overtly detailed sketches that look mechanical. The murals take a vast amount of thought, preparation, hand-eye coordination and time. Samuel Gomez is turning his passion for art, graphite and ink material and murals into a colossal creative project. Who knows what he will combine and come up with next. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 84% | Activity: 76% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Large-scale Graphite Murals:** Opportunity for businesses to explore the creation of large-scale murals using graphite as a medium, creating immersive and intricately detailed artwork. - **Hand-drawn Artwork:** Disruptive innovation potential in the art industry to incorporate meticulous hand-drawn techniques to create unique and personalized pieces. - **Mixed Media Art:** Potential for the art community to experiment with combining graphite, ink, and other materials to push the boundaries of traditional art mediums. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art:** Art professionals can explore collaboration with artists like Samuel Gomez to showcase large-scale graphite murals in galleries and exhibitions. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate large-scale graphite murals as statement pieces in commercial or residential spaces, creating visually stunning environments. - **Education:** Educational institutions can leverage Samuel Gomez's artwork as teaching tools to inspire creativity and explore the possibilities of traditional hand-drawn techniques in art classes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Statement Wall Covering Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/el-muro.md) - [Mural Design Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-by-squares.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Miniature Artful Hip-Hop Landmarks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/danny-cortes.md) - [Digital Graffiti NFTs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/graffiti-wall-collection.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Textile Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olga-de-amaral.md) - [Otherwordly Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/william-monk.md)
