# Artfully Framed Televisions This Samsung Television by Fuseproject Looks Just Like a Piece of Art By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2017-03-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-television References: [dezeen](https://www.dezeen.com/2017/03/14/yves-behar-design-samsung-television-look-like-frame-artwork-design-technology/) & [fuseproject](https://fuseproject.com/) Yves Béhar's studio [Fuseproject](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moooi-peaks-sofa) recently created an artful [Samsung](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-tv-1) television that resembles a framed piece of art moreso than a piece of one's home entertainment system. When added to the wall of one's home, the framed television is indistinguishable from an art piece, although it is actually a QLED smart television that displays artworks when not in use and only turns off when a room is empty. As Yves Béhar describes: "In our smaller homes and apartments, when a television is off, its black square takes up valuable real estate." For the design of the frame on the Samsung TV, the team consulted museums from around the world and settled on a classic design that is available in black, white and wood veneer finishes to seamlessly fit into any home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 89% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Artful Televisions:** Televisions designed to blend in with home decor as a piece of art. - **Smart-display Technology:** Innovations in display technology that allows for adaptive, interactive and personalized digital displays. - **Functional Art:** Art that doubles as functional home decor or home appliances. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Entertainment:** With artful designs, the TV industry has the opportunity to create modern and functional pieces for home decoration. - **Interior Design:** Creative product designs that can blend into home decor can catch the attention of the interior design industry. - **Consumer Electronics:** The Smart-display technology trend opens up new possibilities for improving home appliances and digital displays. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Art Frame TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-tv-1.md) - [Contemporary Television Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-and-marimekko.md) - [Artful Flush-Mount TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c1-canvas-art-tv.md) - [Premium Framed Artwork Televisions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hisense-canvastv.md) - [Illusory Artwork-Displaying TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hisense-canvastv.md) - [Artistic Voice Assistant Televisions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-the-frame-ls03d.md) - [Artistically Enhanced TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-tv.md) - [Canvas-Like TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-objet-tv.md) - [Lifestyle Art Televisions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gallery-tv.md)
