When you thought you'd seen it all, now comes a monitor with a growth out the side: a mini me. Why the additional real estate? If you work on an application all day that has toolbars, you know why. You need the full screen for a project and you're constantly moving the toolbars to get them out of the way. The Samsung Syncmaster 2263DX has a small 7 inch screen mounted on the side for your toolbars to reside. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 24% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Dual-screen Monitors:** Implementing dual-screen monitors in workstations can enhance productivity by providing additional real estate for toolbars and applications. - **Workspace Optimization:** Designing monitors with extra mini screens allows for better organization and decluttering of workspace by segregating toolbars and applications. - **User-centric Design:** Integrating user-centric design features like mini screens into monitors can improve user experience by allowing for customizable and convenient access to essential tools. ### Where This Applies - **Technology Hardware:** The technology hardware industry can capitalize on the trend of dual-screen monitors by developing innovative designs that incorporate mini screens for improved productivity and user experience. - **Workspace Solutions:** The workspace solutions industry can explore opportunities in designing and offering products that optimize workspace organization and productivity through the use of monitors with mini screens. - **Digital Design and Software Development:** The digital design and software development industry can leverage the trend of dual-screen monitors with mini screens to create more efficient workflows and seamless user experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Portable Multi-Monitor Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-multimonitor-solution.md) - [Split-View Vertical Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualup-monitor.md) - [Side-Mounted Laptop Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-pixels-trio-and-trio-max.md) - [Convenience-Focused Attachable Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/attachable-monitor.md) - [Stacked Display Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dualscreen-display.md) - [Triple Display Laptop Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xebec-triscreen-2.md) - [Two-in-One Desktop Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-24b1d5600.md) - [Linkable Productivity Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-the-link-monitors.md) - [Oversized Pro Desk Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dell-ultrasharp-monitor.md)
