The case works with the flipping form rather than against it and draws design inspiration from the [Gameboy Advance](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retro-pixel-pocket) to convey a touch of retro gaming form. The unit is equipped with an LED string in the bottom that can be customized to your choice of color, while the game cartridge can also be swapped out for different titles. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 case helps the smartphone to look just like a Gameboy when closed and will thus give it a touch of retro style. The accessory speaks to the ways that consumers are apt to give modern devices a retro touch, which makes them more inviting and increases familiarity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.1/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 13% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Gaming-inspired Smartphone Cases:** Design and create more smartphone cases inspired by popular video games and consoles. - **Retro Design Accessories:** Diversify and expand retro gaming themed accessories beyond smartphone cases. - **Personalization of Electronic Devices:** Create more ways for users to customize and personalize their electronic devices with LED lights and removable accessories. ### Where This Applies - **Smartphone Accessories:** Develop more unique and personalized smartphone accessories to cater to individual tastes and preferences. - **Gaming Accessories:** Expand the market for gaming-themed accessories beyond traditional consoles and into other electronic devices like smartphones. - **Technology and Electronics:** Foster creativity and innovation within the technology industry to make consumer electronics more customizable and personalized. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Interactive Gaming Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-phone-case.md) - [Flip Phone-Inspired Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-z-flip5-retro.md) - [Analog Joystick Smartphone Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-flex.md) - [Collaboration Artistic Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-accessories.md) - [Videography Smartphone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/90-degree-instinct-case.md) - [Retro Gaming Phone Cases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gamebaby.md) - [Nostalgic Mobile Gamer Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retroid-pocket-flip.md) - [Foldable Gaming Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-boy-flip-concept.md) - [Handheld Game Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/retroid-pocket-flip-case.md)
