# Time-Wasting Phone Comparison Ads There's No Line-Waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S II By Katherinev123 | Published 2011-11-25 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-s-ii References: [popsop](http://popsop.com/51331) & [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/SamsungMobileUSA?sk=app_139823946122404) Many Apple-loving consumers know what it's like to wait in line for the next big gadget, so to promote the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphones, the electronics brand has launched a new campaign that tells people you can have the latest must-have phone -- minus the wait. The campaign is called 'The Next Big Thing is Already Here,' and the 60-second TV spot shows consumers waiting in different parts of the United States for the latest phone (presumably an iPhone). However, the people in line start comparing the competitor's phone with the Samsung Galaxy S II, and they realize they can get all the features -- 4G speeds, a large screen and a variety of apps -- without having to wait hours in a line-up. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Search Engine Smartphone Collaborations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galaxy-nexus.md) - [Camera-Controlling Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dslr-controller-app.md) - [Upcycled Cassette Storage Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-vhs-hard-drive.md) - [Flexible Phone Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-flexi-skin.md) - [Audacious Audiophile Telephones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-b-o-concept-phone.md) - [Behemoth 3D TVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/75-premium-smart-tv.md) - [Social Media Safecracking Ads](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-tweetcracker.md) - [Sleek Designer Touchphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giorgio-armani-samsung-galaxy.md) - [Mud-Splattered Smartphones](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-galaxy-xcover.md)
