# Aqua-Conserving Taps The Salva Faucet Does Not Need to Run to Produce Your Preferred Temperature By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-04-29 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salva-faucet References: [tuvie](http://www.tuvie.com/salva-faucet-concept-adjust-the-temperature-without-wasting-water/) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/gallery/Salva/8142991) A great deal of [unnecessary water is wasted](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/upfall-shower) by people multiple times each day, just during the process of achieving one's desired temperature. The Salva Faucet concept would change this practice by eliminating that one initial step. JungJun Park's idea is to enable the tap to prepare [H2O](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b6-water-dispenser) within the fixture before it's dispensed. First, the user would push the pivoting lever to the left or to the right, choosing either cold, hot or something in between. Once this has been done, the handle can be lifted vertically and left to pour freely, already delivering liquid of one's preferred temperature. Standing upright, the switch of the Salva Faucet resembles an exclamation mark, communicating a subtle warning to those who waste water. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Water-saving Faucets:** Faucet designs that conserve water by preparing the desired temperature within the fixture before dispensing it. - **Smart Tap Technology:** Innovations that incorporate sensors and automation to optimize water usage in faucets. - **Sustainable Bathroom Fixtures:** Trends in creating eco-friendly and efficient faucets and other bathroom fixtures. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Plumbing:** Opportunities for plumbing companies to develop water-saving faucet technologies and sustainable bathroom fixtures. - **Smart Home:** Potential for smart home companies to integrate sensor-based tap technologies for optimized water usage. - **Eco-friendly Design:** Designers and manufacturers can focus on creating sustainable bathroom fixtures and promoting water conservation. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Modern Sliding Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desliz-faucet.md) - [Pressure-Sensitive Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-shower-concept.md) - [Water-Saving Bathroom Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bergvattnet.md) - [Instantaneous Hot Water Showers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/heau-shower.md) - [Refined Dishwasher Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grifoa-sliding-faucet.md) - [Motion-Controlled Smart Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-faucets.md) - [Water-Saving Shower Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alu.md) - [Enhanced Stylish Faucet Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/omnibath.md) - [Designer Water Purifier Faucets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumos-water-purifier.md)
