The salt and pepper shaker is comprised of two ceramic halves held together by a magnet that sits in the middle of each half and attracts both sides to each other creating a perfect fit. From what my research has shown, she was shortlisted, but did not win, in her competition category. I don't know what object won, but it must have been pretty impressive because this work is so endearing to me. It reminds me of my first love and how she broke my heart.
