'My Salad Bar' takes the form of a plastic kit that features divided compartments that provide a selection of four different toppings that can be combined or mixed and matched as desired. For instance, one My Salad Bar package includes a complementary set of walnuts, sunflower seeds, cranberries and sesame sticks, while another box provides a selection of spiced rice flour noodles, lentils and split chickpeas. While [salad kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/salad-kits1) have been in existence for years, consumers are forced to take exactly what they get from the pre-arranged packages. In contrast, these [salad topping kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nut-toppers) give consumers the chance to [customize the exact amounts and flavors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-of-salade-samplers) that will be used to bring their salads to life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.8/10 - Popularity: 99% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Customizable Salad Toppings:** A trend towards customizable salad toppings allows consumers to create personalized salads with the exact amounts and flavors they desire. - **Convenient Salad Kits:** Salad topping kits offer a convenient solution for consumers looking to add variety and excitement to their salads without having to source individual ingredients. - **Enhanced Salad Experience:** Salad topping kits enhance the overall salad experience by offering a diverse selection of high-quality ingredients for consumers to enjoy. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Food Packaging:** The food packaging industry can capitalize on the trend of salad topping kits by developing innovative packaging solutions that keep the toppings fresh and easily portioned. - **Health & Wellness:** The health and wellness industry can leverage the customizable salad toppings trend to promote nutritious eating habits and encourage consumers to create balanced, personalized salads. - **Food Manufacturing:** Food manufacturers can tap into the demand for convenient and customizable salad options by developing and producing a wide range of high-quality salad topping kits to cater to different consumer preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Convenient For-Home Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crunch-kits.md) - [Ready-to-Eat Sprouted Salad Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sprouted-salad-topper.md) - [Culinary-Inspired Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/newmans-own-salad-kits.md) - [Sprinkle-Sized Rice Puffs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saladsprinkles.md) - [Restaurant-Inspired Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-or-cold-salad-and-noodle-meal-kits.md) - [Vitamin-Enriched Salad Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caesar-crumbles-salad-topper.md) - [Global Cuisine Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fresh-express-chopped-salad-kits.md) - [International Cuisine Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fresh-express-salad-kits.md) - [Globally Inspired Salad Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dole-chopped-salad-kit.md)
