# Nautical Serviette Displays Let the Sailboat Napkin Holders Take You on a Culinary Journey By Nikki Taylor | Published 2012-09-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sailboat-napkin-holders References: [likecool](http://www.likecool.com/Sailboat_Napkin_Holders--Accessories--Home.html) & [thegreenhead](http://www.thegreenhead.com/) A sailor's life out on the open sea is captured in the design for the adorably functional red and black sailboat napkin holders. The napkin display is made out of [painted wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-serving-board) with two prongs that stand up to keep the towelettes in place. They playfully resemble the toys children are so fond of playing with in calm cool streams or during an afternoon bath. With a simple fold, the napkin stand gets transformed into a nostalgic boat, adding life and color to your table. To have even more fun with the sailboat napkin holders, let your sail incorporate different colors or outrageously expressive serviette designs. With a group of folded napkins as its sail, the little red and black sailboats never looked more inviting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Functional Napkin Displays:** Opportunity to innovate napkin holders with unique and playful designs. - **Transformative Table Decor:** Potential for creating table accessories that can be folded or transformed into nostalgic objects. - **Expressive Napkin Designs:** Chance to introduce bold and colorful serviette designs that add life and vibrancy to the table. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor brands to create innovative and engaging napkin holders for the dining table. - **Event Planning:** Potential for event planners to incorporate playful and transformative table accessories for themed occasions. - **Restaurant Supplies:** Chance for restaurant supply companies to offer unique and expressive napkin designs to enhance dining experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Anime-Themed Snack Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/going-merry-snack-set.md) - [Conversation Starting Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dinner-table-conversation-starter-napkins.md) - [Creative Dipping Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dip-sea.md) - [Ship-Like Food Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/float-food-storage-container.md) - [Sailing Light Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sail-light.md) - [Flatpack Oceanic Lifeboats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fold-and-rescue-lifeboat.md) - [Sail-Inspired Majestic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vela-sofa.md) - [Nautical Themed Hotel Suites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sea-containers.md) - [Luxurious Sculptural Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-candle-holders.md)
