Considering that it is made out of soft silicone that allows it to be even more malleable in addition to its [modular, shifting cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gioco), that shouldn't really come as a surprise. Designed by Jiyoung Seo and photographed by Young Mi Kim, the Sai Wall Storage Unit is a [unique shelving system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozey) that allows you to store just about anything between its crevices. It is also bigger than it appears in the photos, which lets you rest quite a bit in its embrace. Each cube also lights up with a soft glow to act as ambient lighting. You can even pin messages onto the surface of the Sai Wall Storage Unit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 37% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Malleable Storage Units:** Soft silicone materials create opportunities for designing unique storage solutions that are both practical and playful. - **Modular Shelving Systems:** Shifting cubes offer customizable storage options that can be easily modified to fit different needs or spaces. - **Multifunctional Storage Decor:** Adding ambient lighting, pinboards, and other features to storage units gives consumers the ability to personalize and accessorize their living spaces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Integrating silicone materials and customizable features into storage solutions can provide a competitive edge for furniture designers. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating unique and multifunctional storage solutions into home decor can create a new market for consumers seeking practical and stylish home accessories. - **Interior Design Services:** Providing personalized, modular storage solutions allows interior designers to cater to individual client needs while offering a unique and versatile product. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adaptable Organizer Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-square-organizer.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Colorful Modular Storage Sysem](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/center-center-storage.md) - [Design-Forward Interlinked Storage Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interlinked-storage.md) - [Modular Storage Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-storage-cabinet.md) - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Playful Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets.md) - [Flexible Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbox-modular-shelving.md) - [Modular Bent-Metal Storage](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sfso-1.md)
