Headphones are a commonplace way to enjoy audio or watch content on an airplane, but the new Euphony in-seat audio system from Safran Seats and Devialet has been developed to change the game.

The Euphony project is engineered to deliver business-class and first-class passengers with an immersive audio experience when enjoying in-flight entertainment of their choosing. The audio system is integrated into the headrest on the seat and features two bespoke speakers on either side to completely immerse the passenger in the experience.

The Euphony project from Safran Seats and Devialet is expected to be formally debuted at the Aviation Interiors Expo, taking place at the Hamburg Messe in Germany. The technology will be used for in-flight service starting in 2023.
