Safety In Canada, the YouTube channel of Public Safety Canada and its portfolio partners, launched a new PSA called 'Uncontained' that aims to educate viewers on the reality of human trafficking within the country.
The campaign was created by Banfield and directed by Mark Zibert, who was also behind the SickKids Vs. campaign that many Canadians likely remember. The PSA challenges the ideas that many have about human trafficking, disputing the idea that it is the same as human smuggling, which a reported 95 percent of Canadians confuse it with.
The PSA focuses on the one in three victims who are trafficked by either a current or former intimate partner. With the campaign, Safety In Canada seeks to bring more awareness to the realities of human trafficking so that viewers can spot the signs when they see them.
