The crowd-safe, [wind-defying umbrella](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/novara) has been specifically designed to be user friendly, and above all, make the world a safer place. The metal spokes, which are usually the most dangerous part of an umbrella, are entirely covered in material. This almost completely eliminates the possibility of a stray spoke nicking someone. Also, the reinforced material, when combined with the telescopic ribs act as a double layer of protection against the wind. Since the material is taut, the threat of the embarrassing [inside-out umbrella](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/expedition-tent) scenario is gone. This umbrella will not only do a service to whoever is using it, but also everyone who will pass you by will also be thankful. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 17% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/business) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Crowd-safe Umbrellas:** The creation and implementation of umbrellas designed for crowd safety could revolutionize the market and improve user experience. - **Wind-defying Umbrellas:** The development of umbrellas specifically designed to withstand high winds could disrupt the traditional umbrella market. - **Material-covered Spokes:** The use of materials to cover umbrella spokes and minimize potential dangers may become a new standard in umbrella design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Goods:** The consumer goods industry, particularly in the umbrella market, can benefit from the development of safer and more user-friendly products. - **Safety Equipment:** The development of safer umbrellas can lead to opportunities in the safety equipment industry. - **Outdoor Gear:** The use of reinforced materials in umbrellas can lead to innovations in outdoor gear and accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [All-Weather Protection Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weatherman-trek-umbrella.md) - [Expertly Crafted Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forest-green-umbrella.md) - [Two-People Umbrella Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shed-rain.md) - [Sturdy Heat Relief Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aliz-umbrella.md) - [Space-Inspired Folding Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloombrella.md) - [Charity-Benefiting Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weatherman-puppies-golf.md) - [OLED Weather Umbrellas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ori-umbrella.md) - [Car Roof Luggage Holder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/car-storage.md) - [Rainproof Wheelchair Shells](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobidry.md)
