The Cafedirect Comic Relief 2011 Sack Race raised a record 74 million for good causes.
The ethical hot drinks company Cafédirect has been organizing this 50s retro ‘A Night At the Sack Races’ event all around the country, getting individuals to sponsor celebrities to "jump in the sack" and participate for this worthwhile cause. Hosted by T4’s Rick Edwards, this event featured village fête-style stalls and entertainment from the likes of Dog is Dead and Roll Deep.
All funds raised will help Comic Relief support communities in need both in the UK and Africa. With individuals like Kate Walsh and Philip Taylor taking part in this amazingly fun Cafe Comic Relief 2011 Sack Race, the surrounding audience cheered for the ones they sponsored on the sidelines, supporting both the celebrity and the cause.
