# Heart-Shaped Conference Tables The Saatchi & Saatchi Beijing Office is Absolutely Lovely By Meghan Young | Published 2010-05-20 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saatchi-saatchi-beijing-office References: [thedesignblog.org](http://www.thedesignblog.org/entry/saatchi-saatchis-conference-room-exhibits-creativity-and-innovation/) & [gizmodo](http://gizmodo.com/5540615/meanwhile-in-a-chinese-supervillains-lair) Sitting at the [heart-shaped conference table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/savvia) in the newly redesigned [Saatchi & Saatchi Beijing Office](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threadwork-women-redefining-fiber-arts) is sure to spur the creative thinking necessary for the global advertising company. Especially when the dome is lowered and everyone is trapped in the area until ingenious concepts have been achieved. Granted, I don’t think that the dome could trap anyone in, but it’s a thought. Designed by Antonio Ochoa-Piccardo, the Saatchi & Saatchi Beijing Office’s conference dome actually rotates to allow movie screenings. Bet you wished you could work here. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Heart-shaped Conference Tables:** Opportunity for innovative office designs with heart-shaped conference tables to encourage creative thinking and collaboration. - **Rotating Conference Domes:** Potential for disruptive innovation in meeting room designs with rotating conference domes that provide versatile functionality for presentations and movie screenings. - **Trapped Design Concept:** Opportunity to explore unique office features that create an immersive environment and stimulate innovative ideas by temporarily enclosing meeting spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Office Furniture:** Opportunity for furniture companies to develop and market heart-shaped conference tables that promote creativity and collaboration in the workplace. - **Interior Design:** Potential for interior design firms to embrace rotating conference domes as a design trend and offer innovative meeting room solutions to their clients. - **Architecture:** Opportunity for architects and designers to explore the concept of creating immersive office environments with features like temporary enclosures to enhance creativity and productivity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Bright Creative Office Hubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sauvage-tv.md) - [Art Gallery-Inspired Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maniera.md) - [Clover-Style Conference Center Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zgc-international-innovation-center.md) - [Vibrant Multi-Level Office Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gensler.md) - [Greenhouse Office Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/office-for-roundtable.md) - [Community-Centric Office Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tricon-residential.md) - [Playful Contemporary Offices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-contemporary-office.md) - [Contemporary interactive workspaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interactive-workspace.md) - [Cozy Home Office Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tabloid-desk.md)
