The innovative design team of Georgi and Peter Slokoski have taken the concept of the the iconic Russian nesting doll and turned it into something new that would turn a living space into a conversation-starter. The Matreshka Light Chair is made from fiberglass and available in two shell colors: white and black. Situated on a functional base, the Matreshka Chair can turn a full rotation in both directions. The functionality of the Martreshka comes into complete focus with the light found inside the chair. The LED RGB light will allow for several colors to illuminate the inside of the chair for either reading or ambient lighting. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 8% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Russian Nesting Doll Design:** The trend of incorporating Russian nesting doll design into various consumer products presents opportunities for innovative and eye-catching designs. - **Functional Furniture:** The trend of creating furniture with multiple functions and features provides opportunities for space-saving and conversation-starting designs. - **LED Lighting Integration:** The trend of integrating LED lighting into furniture offers opportunities to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** The furniture design industry can explore innovative ways to incorporate Russian nesting doll design and create functional and visually appealing pieces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can tap into the trend of functional furniture and offer unique and space-saving options for consumers. - **Lighting Solutions:** The lighting solutions industry can seize the opportunity to create innovative LED lighting integration options for furniture, enhancing both functionality and design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Moon-Inspired Modular Seating Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wigiwama.md) - [Wooden Twin Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/same-same.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md) - [Rope-Like Dynamic Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caterpillar-lounge.md) - [Chunky Cylindrical Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/umi-armchair.md) - [Versatile Nesting Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozmo-1.md) - [Childhood-Informed Dome Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-clodette-chair.md) - [Industrial Light-Equipped Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidden-light-chair.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md)
