Russian architecture was at an all time high during the 1920s and 30s. Constructivist buildings of the time were the epitome of functionalist philosophy while Soviet Socialist propaganda was also incredibly hard to miss. Immortalizing this architecture, 52Factory's Nasya Kopteva and Sasha Braulov produced a [wooden desk set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/track-concept) which features a magnetic paperclip holder reminiscent of Konstantin Melnikov's house as well as a smartphone docking station and pencil holder which mirror the [Communal House of the Textile Institute](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bin). In addition to being beautifully designed desk accessories, the creators hope the set becomes a way to teach kids about Russia's great architectural legacy. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 95% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Architectural-inspired Desk Sets:** Designing desk sets that are inspired by iconic buildings could be a unique selling point for stationary and office supply brands. - **Education Through Functional Design:** By creating functional products with educational value, makers can expand their reach beyond the realm of traditional educational products and tap into the office spaces. - **Heritage-inspired Products:** Taking cues from architecture and other cultural touchpoints can offer new directions for product designs and highlight the rich heritage of specific locations. ### Where This Applies - **Stationary and Office Supplies:** Integrating architectural influences into stationary designs could offer opportunities for growth in the office supply sector. - **Education:** Through promoting the educational aspect of the desk sets, new educational companies and initiatives could emerge. - **Cultural Heritage Tourism:** Creating products inspired by the landmarks that define a specific culture creates a new avenue in the tourism and souvenirs industries for people looking for keepsakes or gifts that pay tribute to the locations they visited. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Wooden Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ofiistory-desk-supplies.md) - [Towering Wooden Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/capsule-tower.md) - [Beach-Inspired Desk Trios](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deskterior.md) - [Minimalist Modular Creative Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/note-desk.md) - [Minimalist Monochromatic Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arqus-desk.md) - [Ergonomic Multi-Use Desk Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabinett-desk.md) - [Korean Game-Inspired Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-desk-accessories.md) - [Hyper-Customizable Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hypercustomizable-desk.md) - [Curved Desk Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flow-set.md)
