This can especially be said about artist Russell Leng, whose [geometric paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/illusion-box) are intricate and highly detailed. The images featured in the gallery have a close resemblance to [moon rocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phase-lamp), or how I imagine they would look in person. The brush strokes, shadows and contrast of colors on the canvas gives each one a 3D appearance. Be sure to check out the gallery for a better look at each one. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Geometric Art:** Exploring the use of geometric shapes in art can lead to innovative and visually striking creations. - **Highly-detailed Paintings:** There is a trend towards creating intricate and meticulously detailed paintings that captivate viewers. - **3D Illusion Art:** Using techniques like brush strokes, shadows, and contrast to create a three-dimensional effect in paintings is gaining popularity. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** The art industry can benefit from embracing the trend of creating geometric and highly-detailed paintings. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can incorporate 3D illusion art into products like wall prints and decor items. - **Galleries and Exhibitions:** Galleries and exhibition spaces can showcase the works of artists who specialize in geometric and highly-detailed paintings, attracting a niche audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Wooden Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aleph-geddis.md) - [Oil Painting-Inspired Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/antonio-santn.md) - [Glass Beaded Intricate Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition.md) - [First-Ever Outer Space Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/selenian.md) - [Physics-Informed Digital Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/motion-sculpture.md) - [Moon-Bound Architectural Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonhouse-project.md) - [Gem-Like Sculptural Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cylindrical-lenses.md) - [Textured Moon-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phase-lamp.md) - [Collaborative Sculptural Art Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neojomon-biomorphic-fantme.md)
