# Runner-Friendly Dog Leashes Arni Says' Leash for Running with a Dog Includes Ample Storage Space By Laura McQuarrie | Published 2017-05-19 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/running-with-a-dog References: [arnisays](http://arnisays.com/product/rock-n-run-leash/) To lighten their load while exercising, runners often leave the house with as few essentials as possible—but running with a dog requires having a few extra items on hand. With this in mind, Arni Says created the Rock-n-Run leash, which includes a generous storage area for small but important items like dog waste bags, headphones, money and keys. The Rock-n-Run leash also comes with a [matching collar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uncharted-supply-wolf-pack) that is available in a range of colors. While there are many [hands-free leash designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ezydoguk) with built-in waist belts that many runners choose to use when running with a pet, they do not include storage space and require pet owners to invest in additional [running accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/running-accessories). Although the leash specifically appeals to runners, dog owners in general would appreciate having an extra place to store important items. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hands-free Leashes:** Creating hands-free leashes with built-in storage space for runners and dog owners. - **Multifunctional Pet Accessories:** Designing pet accessories that serve multiple purposes, such as storing essential items while on the go. - **Customizable Collars:** Developing collars that come in a range of colors and styles to suit individual preferences. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Sports and Fitness:** Exploring disruptive innovation opportunities in the sports and fitness industry by creating more convenient and practical pet accessories for active individuals. - **Outdoor Gear:** Identifying disruptive innovation opportunities in the outdoor gear industry by integrating storage features into pet leashes and collars for adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. - **Pet Products:** Discovering disruptive innovation opportunities in the pet products industry by designing customizable and multi-functional accessories that cater to the needs of pet owners. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cross-Body Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extra-long-leash.md) - [Multifunctional Customizable Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nylon-leash.md) - [Hands-Free Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beltdog.md) - [Rope-Inspired Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rope-leash.md) - [All-in-One Rotating Dog Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbit-360-dog-leash.md) - [Handsfree Canine Cyclist Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-bicycle-leash.md) - [Sleek Illuminating Runner Belts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumabelt.md) - [Smart Retractable Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocoleash.md) - [Intuitive Intelligent Pet Leashes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intelligent-pet-leash.md)
