# Flocking Lamp Installations (UPDATE) Rune Guneriussen Revisits Throwing Domestic Items in the Wild By Meghan Young | Published 2012-10-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rune-guneriussen References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/rune-guneriussen-releases-new-pixaresque-works) & [runeguneriussen.no](http://www.runeguneriussen.no/) Rune Guneriussen has recently shared his latest work with the world. Updating his website with 20 new images, he shows that he hasn't quite tired of personifying domestic appliances and throwing them into the wild. Nor has his audience, it seems. Creating [Pixar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-creator-ambassador-program)-like characters out of real objects, Rune Guneriussen has once again turned to his trusty light fixtures for magical flocking scenes. From ritualistic circles to climbing trees, Rune Guneriussen's lamps are as adventurous and free-spirited as any bird would be when released from its cage. His recent works will be put on display during a solo exhibit at Rheingalerie Bonn gallery in Germany and then a group exhibit at Bugno Art Gallery in Venice. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.7/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Domestic Items in the Wild:** Exploring the idea of throwing domestic items into the wild to create personified characters and magical flocking scenes. - **Flocking Lamp Installations:** Using light fixtures to create Pixar-like characters in adventurous and free-spirited installations. - **Real Objects in Art Installations:** Using ordinary real objects to create extraordinary art installations in various settings. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** There is an opportunity for artists and designers to explore the creative potential of using real objects in artistic installations. - **Interior Design:** Incorporating unique and unconventional lighting fixtures into interior designs can create an alluring and captivating ambiance. - **Event Planning:** Bringing eye-catching art installations into event planning can make the experience more memorable and engaging for attendees. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Utensil Waste Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys.md) - [Futuristic Totemic Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/space-relics.md) - [Organic Illuminated Artful Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cages-mobiles-and-rock.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Recycled Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys-collection.md) - [Intricate Lighting Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/objects-of-common-interest1.md) - [Artfully Liquid-Like Light Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cairn-lamp.md) - [Handmade Lamp Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/see-earth.md)
