Multidisciplinary Italian creative practice Mathery Studio designed these playful and complicated Rube Goldberg-inspired contraptions for putting on socks in the morning.

Mathery Studio is made up of Erika Zorzi and Matteo Sangalli, who are known for their [playful and colorful approach](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/routines-collection) to illustration, art and design. In collaboration with Odd Pears, an Australian-based [sock company](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/not-a-sock-shop), the studio created a series of different inventions resembling the drawings of Rube Golberg that use a number of different objects to perform the simple task of putting on a pair of socks.

The five different design concepts utilize a number of different objects to hoist up a pair of socks, including helium balloons, mechanic pulleys, kitchen timers and orange squeezers. The end result is an imaginative approach to what would normally be a mundane task.
