Designed by [Orchard Studio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nekospace-orchard), the Rubber Band Lamp was exhibited at during the London Design Festival. Interestingly, you can customize these lamps by rearranging the elastic bands yourself. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Elastic Lighting:** Innovative use of elastic bands to create eco-friendly and customizable lighting solutions. - **Customizable Design:** Growing trend towards customization in product design, allowing consumers to create their own unique products. - **Eco-friendly Materials:** Demand for sustainable materials in product design, driving innovation in eco-friendly alternatives. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** Opportunities for lighting companies to explore the use of unique and eco-friendly materials for their products. - **Furniture Design:** Innovative use of elastic materials in furniture designs could lead to new product categories and customization options. - **Sustainable Materials:** Increased demand for sustainable materials in multiple industries, creating opportunities for innovative and eco-friendly products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Customizable Magnetic Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-magnetic-lamp.md) - [Recycled Paper Pulp Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-lamp1.md) - [Ultra-Customized Pendant Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kala-lamp.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banana-lamp.md) - [Air Balloon-Inspired Lamp Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-balloon-lamp.md) - [Interconnecting Component Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-table-lamp.md) - [Soft Rope Lampshades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hat-collection.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md)
