Painter and [digital artist](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/layer-canvas) Stuart Atteberry selected classic works by Piet Modrian and Mark Rothko and made modern art even more modern. He created two videos of [dynamic glitch art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-mirror) that allowed separate paintings to flow into each other and become one masterpiece. "I try to do as little manipulation as possible in order to let the works speak for themselves," says Atteberry. The artist tries to piece together works that blend well together so as to capture the true essence of the artist. He puts his frames in a process that sorts the pixels based on brightness. The resulting images cause the paintings to look watery and reminiscent of a [waterfall or fountain](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/transposition-installtion). The videos are a great way to make art more relevant for today's generation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Digital Art Unification:** Combining pieces of digital art to create a unified masterpiece. - **Glitch Art Creation:** Using glitches to create unconventional and modern digital art. - **Pixel Sorting:** Sorting pixels of different works based on brightness to create dynamic art. ### Who This Affects Most - **Art and Design:** Opportunities for artists and designers to leverage technology to create something new and modern. - **Entertainment:** Opportunities for filmmakers and video-makers to create original, visually-stunning content that resonates with contemporary audiences. - **Technology:** Opportunities for software engineers and computer scientists to develop new platforms that enable artists to create and showcase novel digital art. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Reimagined Impressionist Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/impressionist-paintings.md) - [Artistic Color-Changing Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/matisse-inspired-cocktails.md) - [Digital City-Inspired Art Works](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grand-central-station.md) - [Painting Display Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pointillism.md) - [Color-Blending Kinetic Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/felipe-pantone.md) - [Juxtaposing Digital Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riflessi.md) - [Colossal AI Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-artwork.md) - [Artwork-Inspired Strategy Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mondrian-color-in-motion.md) - [Vibrantly Colorful Dynamic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kayla-rumpp.md)
