# Sharing Swivel Shelves The 'Rotate It' Bookshelf by Sherry An By Meghan Young | Published 2010-03-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotate-it-bookshelf References: [yankodesign](http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/03/30/sharing-is-caring/) After writing about the [Da Vila Bookstore](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/da-vila-bookstore) and its swiveling bookshelf entrance, I decided that I wanted one all to myself. How convenient it is that I stumbled upon the 'Rotate It' bookshelf mere days later. Designed by Sherry An, the 'Rotate It' bookshelf offers an interesting way to share literary contents with others. Creating a quirky wall perfect for the home, dorm or office, its swiveling uses can be appreciated by anyone. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Swiveling Bookshelves:** Opportunity to create customizable and interactive storage solutions for homes, dorms, and offices. - **Sharing Design:** Chance to develop innovative furniture designs that encourage sharing and collaboration. - **Quirky Wall Decoration:** Potential to create unique and eye-catching wall decorations using rotating shelves. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Opportunity for furniture designers to incorporate swiveling mechanisms into their products. - **Home Decor:** Potential to create trendy and functional storage solutions for home interiors. - **Office Supplies:** Opportunity to develop innovative storage solutions for offices that promote collaboration and creativity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md) - [Playful Rotating Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/giralot-rotating-storage.md) - [Sliding Wintery Landscape Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manhwabang-bookshelf.md) - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Dynamic Geometric Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheft.md) - [Sculptural Bookshelves Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-bookshelf.md) - [Room-Dividing Bookshelf Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frquence-shelf.md) - [Spinning Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-spinning-coffee-table.md) - [Simple Assembly Sustainable Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/svolta.md)
