With the purchase of a Memorial RosettaStone Tablet, [wireless technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tile-bluetooth) can easily be added to any monument. A Memorial RosettaStone Tablet is a 2” x 4” piece of granite with a microchip embedded inside that allows for any NFC (Near Field Communication, short-range high frequency wireless) enabled cell phone to receive information that has been uploaded to the tablet. The tablets can store graphics and text and are transmitted to a cell phone when held up to the stone. Up to six “Life Symbols” can be engraved to a stone; the symbols consist of little graphics that denote a person’s marital status, profession, country of birth, hobbies, and religious beliefs. It could be to neat to see how these tablets work. But for now, I think I will just stick to leaving my impression on the world while I am still on it! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Wireless Technology:** The integration of wireless technology into memorial products presents an opportunity for disruptive innovation in the funeral industry. - **NFC (near Field Communication):** The use of NFC technology in memorial tablets opens up possibilities for personalized and interactive experiences at cemeteries, creating new opportunities for tech companies. - **Life Symbols:** The inclusion of engraved life symbols on memorial stones introduces a unique way to celebrate and communicate a person's identity, inspiring innovative customization options. ### Who This Affects Most - **Funeral Services:** The adoption of technology-enhanced memorial products in the funeral services industry can revolutionize the way people remember and honor their loved ones. - **Technology:** The development of wireless and NFC-enabled memorial products represents a disruptive innovation opportunity for technology companies seeking to enter the funeral industry. - **Engraving and Stone Manufacturing:** The demand for memorial stones featuring engraved life symbols creates a unique opportunity for engraving and stone manufacturing businesses to offer customized products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Enhanced Beaded Bracelets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soulstones.md) - [AI-Powered Virtual Memorials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/virtual-memorials.md) - [Digital Memorialization Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/remembermeai.md) - [Digital Guestbook Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/visitation-book.md) - [Interactive Tattoo Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inkstory.md) - [Story-Driven Souvenirs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/Memory-Vault.md) - [Digital Legacy Storybooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/autobiographer.md) - [Tech-Advanced Family Memories Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/family-memories.md) - [Post-Mortem Wireless Detectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/in-memoriam.md)
