Creating this unique album involved collecting biorhythms from flourishing corn roots, then converting the notes into MIDI sequences, and then synthesizing them. Bayer collaborated with audio engineers and singer-songwriters to create melodies, harmonic structures and tempos to turn the harvested sounds into lyrical tracks. In all, there are six songs, each of which is identified by a different corn-themed name like Love Grows [High](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beer-infused-vinyl) or Can’t Uproot Me. The concept Roots Remastered album is being played on radio stations throughout the country, offering people a chance to listen in on aspects of farm life from the beginning of a corn farmer’s day to the end. At Canada's Outdoor Farm Show, a live corn concert was held and more than 40,000 people listened to the sounds of healthy corn roots. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 63% | Activity: 79% | Freshness: 18% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Publicity Stunts](https://www.trendhunter.com/publicitystunts) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Sustainable Agriculture:** Bayer's collaboration in creating a music album out of corn suggests a trend towards exploring innovative and sustainable uses for agricultural products. - **Biotechnology in Music Production:** The development of the world's first country music album made from corn highlights the potential for biotechnology in revolutionizing music production and sound synthesis. - **Farm-to-table Entertainment:** The Roots Remastered album offers a glimpse into the emerging trend of farm-to-table entertainment, where agricultural practices and products are integrated into creative experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Agriculture:** Bayer CropScience's venture into creating a music album from corn demonstrates a potential disruptive innovation opportunity in the agriculture industry, marrying music and farming. - **Music:** The collaboration between audio engineers, singer-songwriters, and Bayer CropScience suggests a disruptive innovation opportunity in merging biotechnology and music production. - **Entertainment:** The concept of farm-to-table entertainment, as exemplified by the Roots Remastered album, presents an opportunity for the entertainment industry to explore new immersive experiences tied to agriculture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flora-Friendly Meditation Albums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-green-album-by-califia-farms.md) - [Musical QR Soup Cans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campbells-and-universal-music.md) - [Youth-Supporting Popcorn Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boldly-grown-popcorn.md) - [Buttery Smooth Whiskey Spirits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/country-crocks-cover-crop-whiskey.md) - [Farmer-Supporting Short Films](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-future-begins.md) - [Co-Branded Farmer-Supporting Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farm-rescue.md) - [Upcycled Can Guitar Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/busch-light-guitar.md) - [Insect Orchestra Concerts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cicada-symphony-orkinstra.md) - [Cheese-Inspired Albums](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/block-jams.md)
