# Snarling Monster Choppers Roongrojna Sangwongprisarn Builds an Epic Bike By Matt Ho | Published 2011-08-04 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roongrojna-sangwongprisarn References: [designyoutrust](http://designyoutrust.com/2011/07/28/ride-the-alien/) & [odditycentral](http://www.odditycentral.com/tag/roongrojna-sangwongprisarn) As a huge fan of the Alien movie franchise, I wish I could ride the monstrously epic Alien motorcycle that Roongrojna Sangwongprisarn built. The iconic creature that burst through John Hurt and received a whooping from Sigourney Weaver is now a mode of transportation thanks to Thai artist Roongrojna Sangwongprisarn. The entire motorcycle is based off of the alien from the movie—well, Alien. Normally a [custom job like this](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crooked-motorcycles-alps-edition) usually consists of the regular anatomy of the bike with a paint job that reflects whatever the theme is; however, Sangwongprisarn has actually incorporated the entire body of the Alien, so it’s actually a little hard to make out the parts (which is fine considering how amazing the details are). No one’s going to honk at you if you ride this Alien motorcycle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Movie-inspired Vehicles:** Opportunity for custom vehicle builders to create transportation based on iconic movie creatures, characters or objects. - **Themed Transportation:** Opportunity to incorporate entire themes into the body of vehicles to create unique and innovative designs. - **Sci-fi Influence in Design:** Opportunity to utilize the influence of science fiction in design to create unique and futuristic vehicles. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Custom Vehicle Builders:** Opportunity to cater to niche markets and create unique vehicles for enthusiasts looking for themed transportation. - **Film and Entertainment Industry:** Opportunity to collaborate and commission custom vehicle builders to create transportation based on iconic movie creatures, characters or objects for promotion and fan engagement. - **Automotive Design and Manufacturing:** Opportunity to incorporate more creativity and innovation in vehicle design by borrowing from outside industries and inspirations such as science fiction. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Superbikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/akiraducati-superbike.md) - [Futuristic Sci-Fi Motorbikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hermes-x30.md) - [Custom Aluminum Motorcycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ducati-821.md) - [Futuristic Concept Motorcycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-motorcycle1.md) - [Steampunk-Inspired Motorcycle Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dirk-oehlerking.md) - [Otherworldly Motorcycle Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eve-odyssey-motorcycle.md) - [Transparent Electric Cafe Racers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crdos-ghost-concept-motorcycle.md) - [Elegant Shape-Shifting Concept Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-bike1.md) - [Shapeshifting Superbike Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hypercycle.md)
