The stool maintains a somewhat obscure construction that doesn't look like a [stool or seating solution](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool) at all, but instead appears as a modern work of art. The conceptual 'Rool' stool is constructed out of [three pieces of plywood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roggbif) that have been strategically bent into the artful form we see in the final product. The stool is perfect for placement in open-concept living spaces or home offices where a balance between fashion and function is of paramount importance. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 11% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Active Furniture:** Design and manufacture furniture that promotes physical activity while sitting to improve health and productivity. - **Functional Art:** Create visually appealing furniture pieces that serve a functional purpose, blurring the line between art and practicality. - **Obscure Seating Solutions:** Invent seating solutions that deviate from traditional designs, offering unique and intriguing options for consumers looking for something different. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacture unique and innovative furniture pieces that balance form and function to meet the evolving preferences of consumers. - **Office Furniture:** Design and produce furniture for the modern workspace that accommodates the needs of active, health-conscious professionals. - **Home Decor and Design:** Offer unique and visually appealing decor options that also serve a functional purpose, providing consumers with innovative ways to personalize their living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Visibly Undulating Stool Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concave-stool.md) - [Active Motion Desk Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-ao-stool.md) - [Contemporary Rocking Pouffe Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/platero.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Active Sitting Cork Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ylin-stool.md) - [Sloped Movement Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tippi-chair.md) - [Rocking Table-Mounted Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/espattio-platero-rocking-table.md) - [Dynamic Movement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wobbl-rocking-chair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md)
