The seaplane that inspired this limited edition is the Supermarine 6B. What makes the seaplane so special is the fact that it won the 1931 Schneider Trophy, a race put on to find the world's fastest seaplane, with a Rolls-Royce engine in it. In addition to the Supermarine 6B having a Rolls-Royce engine, the company's co-founder, Charles Rolls, was also a big fan of flying. The exterior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Aviator Collection has what the automaker calls an Aviator Grey finish.
