The printer maintains an ultra-compact design that is perfect for placement on any desktop and is equipped with a roll of paper instead of a stack of loose leaf sheets. This enables print jobs to be completed using the exact amount of paper required to put a focus on precision printing. The conceptual 'Roller Jet' printer incorporates a simple yet effective method of resource conservation into the user experience that could greatly reduce waste. The unit has been created as a functional prototype and keeps the roll of paper on the exterior as a focal point to help users monitor how much is remaining. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 79% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Roller Jet Printer:** A paper-saving printer that uses a roll of paper instead of sheets and focuses on precision printing. - **Resource Conservation Method:** A method of incorporating conservation into the user experience of a printer. - **Ultra-compact Design:** A printer designed to be placed on any desktop and conserve paper usage by using only the exact amount needed. ### Who This Affects Most - **Printing Industry:** An opportunity to innovate the way printers could conserve resources with new designs and printing techniques. - **Office Supplies Industry:** An opportunity to offer paper-saving printers and supplies to a growing market of environmentally-conscious consumers. - **Technology Industry:** An opportunity to integrate efficient, resource-saving printers into consumer technology and home office setups. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper Waste Reduction Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/handheld-printer-concept.md) - [Freestyle Desktop Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dual-printer-device.md) - [Subtle Smartphone-Friendly Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-image-box.md) - [Industrial Handheld Printer Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scribe-handheld-printer.md) - [Eco-Friendly Laser Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hp-laser-printer.md) - [Eco-Friendly 3D Printer Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-concept.md) - [Single Pass Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/single-pass-printer.md) - [Elongated Photo Printers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hp-sprocket-panorama.md) - [Ultra-Compact Keyboard-Like Typewriters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/typewriter-concept.md)
