# Swaying Pet Bed Seats Rocking-2-Gether Lets Man and Mongrel Move to and fro Together By Amelia Roblin | Published 2011-05-09 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rocking-2-gether References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/40118/) & [paulkweton](http://www.paulkweton.com/latest-projects/RockingChair/) Certain objects are quite a success when melded into one, and the Rocking-2-Gether chair is a prime example. In this case, designer Paul Kweton strove to fuse a [doghouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dog-hut-side-table) with a regular [rocking chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oval-rocking-chair), which has resulted in a unique contemporary object that provides comfort to man and beast alike. The finished product is made of organically shaped wooden slices that align to form the backrest, seat, the arms, the rounded base and the closed cubby beneath, which acts as an [ideal pet bed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wyrmwood-doublesided-dog-bed). Within it, I can picture an old man moving back and forth lightly with a book as his tired dog is seesawed to sleep. The Rocking-2-Gether armchair promotes a cozy coexistence between canine and owner as they relax in the living room. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 73% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Fusing Furniture:** The fusion of different furniture pieces creates unique and innovative designs. - **Cozy Coexistence:** Designing products that promote comfort and companionship between humans and animals. - **Organic Shapes:** Using organic and natural shapes in furniture design for a modern and distinctive look. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Design:** Explore the opportunities to create innovative furniture designs by fusing different elements together. - **Pet Furniture:** Developing unique pet furniture pieces that provide comfort and convenience for pets and their owners. - **Home Decor:** Incorporating organic shapes and designs into home decor products to create a modern and artistic ambiance. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-juno.md) - [Pet Bed-Equipped Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sharing-joy-armchair.md) - [Elevated Pet Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-chair.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quella-chair.md) - [Multi-Use Dog Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-human-dog-bed.md) - [Posh Pet-Friendly Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arch-chair-design.md) - [Rollable Bell-Shaped Dog Kennels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poochchair.md) - [Modernized Rocking Chair Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nodding-chair.md) - [Dog Bed-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-furniture-design.md)
