Baldi is an Italian company that is known for using precious metals when creating its home furniture, such as bathtubs lamps and vases. The Rock Crystal Bathtub is a huge 3-person tub that was "carved out of a single piece of rock crystal found in the Amazonian rainforest." The actual rock took about three months to excavate! This bathtub would be heavenly to lounge in, but I'd be afraid to chip the rock! The bathtub can also double as a beautiful sculpture, giving you a multipurpose bathroom! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Luxury](https://www.trendhunter.com/luxury) > [Ultra Luxury](https://www.trendhunter.com/ultraluxury) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Luxury Home Decor:** Baldi's use of precious materials in home furniture offers opportunities for more innovative and luxurious design solutions. - **Multipurpose Home Accessories:** The Baldi Rock Crystal Bathtub's function as both a tub and a sculpture highlights the potential for multi-use home accessories. - **Sustainable Luxury:** Carving a bathtub out of a single piece of rock crystal highlights the potential for more sustainable luxury products and manufacturing processes. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor Manufacturing:** Incorporating more precious materials in home furniture manufacturing presents opportunities for innovation in manufacturing processes and design solutions. - **Luxury Homebuilding:** The Baldi Rock Crystal Bathtub showcases the potential for more luxurious and unique options in homebuilding and interior design. - **Sculpture Art:** The bathtub's function as a sculpture highlights the potential for more innovative and creative approaches to sculpture art that can integrate multi-use and functionality. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [Customizable Minimalist Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acquabella-noon-slate.md) - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md) - [Rounded Hydromassage Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [Symmetrical Curved Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection.md) - [AI-Enhanced Contemporary Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cloud-and-co.md) - [Automated Relaxation Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bathtub.md)
