# Tin Man Shelving The Robox by Fabio Novembre is Adorably Geeky By Carly Foy | Published 2011-04-01 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robox-by-fabio-novembre References: [dezeen](http://www.dezeen.com/2011/03/30/robox-by-fabio-novembre/#more-122634) The Robox by Fabio Novembre is a shelving unit in the shape of, you guessed it, a robot. The shelving unit is composed of several [boxes mix-matched together](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berto-hidden-secrets) to create the form. What makes this shelf [adorable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pomodoro-bot) though, is that a red box is placed where, anatomically, the heart would be. The unit comes in different colors, but the heart is always there. Interestingly, on the top of the Robox is a picture frame in substitution of another shelf. Whether you place a photo of yourself, or a picture of an important life event, the Robox's head holds your memories, just like a human brain would. It is reminiscent of the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz. The Robox by Fabio Novembre is ultra cute and available in various colors, making it the perfect addition to any home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 19% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Adorable Shelving:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop customizable shelving units that incorporate playful and cute elements. - **Mixed-match Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create furniture with mix-matched elements to add visual interest and uniqueness. - **Emotional Connection:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture that evokes an emotional connection by incorporating personalization and memory-holding features. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore creative and unconventional designs that challenge traditional furniture construction and aesthetics. - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce new and unique home decor items that add personality and emotional value to living spaces. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate innovative and customized shelving solutions to create functional yet visually appealing interiors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Organized Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unit-shelving-system.md) - [Modular Configuration Shelving Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repisa-01.md) - [Modular Contemporary Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qurv.md) - [L-Shaped Stacked Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loft-shelf.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Dynamic Storage-Display Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-life.md) - [Toy Block-Inspired Wooden Bookshelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotating-picture-book.md) - [Folding Steel Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pli-steel-wall-shelf.md)
