MobiLimb is a robotic finger created by French Ph.D. student Marc Teyssier and his team of researchers. The product boasts a USB-connected limb that is meant to give smartphones the opportunity to interact with their users. From tapping the hand of the owner when a notification comes through to providing an extra function as a [joystick controller](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prolo-ring), the robotic finger is an interesting development. The mechanism is powered by an “Arduino micro-controller” and five servo-motors.

With his unique creation, Marc Teyssier builds on the many opportunities of the tech environment. Developed “in the spirit of [human augmentation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sleev-1),” MobiLimb subtly extends the capabilities of modern-day technologies by giving them the opportunity to transcend their passive existence.
