# Personalized Robot Portraits Ben Rollman Will Turn Any Picture into Your Own Personal I, Robot By Andrew Sztein | Published 2013-01-29 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/robot-portrait References: [neatorama](http://www.neatorama.com/2013/01/28/Win-a-Personalized-Robot-Portrait/) & [robotportrait.blogspot](http://robotportrait.blogspot.ca/) Sometimes I think that life would be so much easier if people were robots, which is why it's great that people can at least fantasize a little bit about it with these awesome robot portraits. Drawn up by Ben Rollman, the talented artist takes commissioned submissions from people and converts the photos into beautifully hand-drawn robot interpretations of the shots. The portraits are done in full color and are created using a mix of color markers and water color. The robot portraits are drawn on bristol board for better posterity than normal paper. The art only takes a few days for delivery upon the order. You can watch Ben at work on his [YouTube](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hmnd-01) channel, which features some pretty amazing time-lapsed drawing. It's always neat to see a master at work. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [AI](https://www.trendhunter.com/ai) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Personalized Robot Portraits:** Creating personalized robot portraits through hand-drawn interpretations of submitted photos. - **Artistic Transformation:** Utilizing traditional art techniques like color markers and watercolor to transform images into robot-themed art. - **Digital Art Appreciation:** Showcasing time-lapsed drawing videos on YouTube to engage and inspire art enthusiasts. ### Where This Applies - **Art and Design:** An innovative opportunity for artists to offer unique and personalized robot portrait services. - **Photography:** Collaborating with photographers to create compelling robot-themed art pieces from their photos. - **Online Video Platforms:** Capitalizing on the popularity of time-lapsed drawing videos to attract viewers and potential customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawmypet.md) - [Artistic AI Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sketcher-x.md) - [AI-Generated Self-Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/persona-ai.md) - [Stylized Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-to-all.md) - [Fantasy Roleplay AI Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dd-character-portraits.md) - [Custom Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portrait-mom.md) - [AI Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraitia.md) - [AI Portrait Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portraitify-ai-portrait-studio.md) - [AI Pet Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/petpic-ai.md)
