The house was constructed by the local Italian contractor ProTek, creating a home that can rotate a full 360 degrees -- requiring a lightweight structure that can withstand any trauma from the rotation. Carefully balanced on a central pillar, the [octagonal home](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sinfornia-verde) was made to be rotated mechanically in both directions to give the owner optimal views. The secondary use of the rotation gives the home the ability to face directly at the sun to optimize the use of solar panels. The new home by Roberto Rossi has a [modern interior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quadrodesign) that matches the unique exterior, with a light and clean color scheme and high-end finishes. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 60% | Activity: 56% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Rotating Homes:** The trend of constructing homes that can rotate 360 degrees provides an opportunity to create unique living experiences and optimize views. - **Lightweight Structures:** The trend of building lightweight structures that can withstand rotation opens up possibilities for innovative construction materials and techniques. - **Smart Home Integration:** The trend of incorporating smart home technology into rotating homes offers the opportunity to create customizable and automated living spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture and Construction:** The architecture and construction industry can capitalize on the trend of rotating homes by developing expertise in designing and building these unique structures. - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry can benefit from the trend of rotating homes by collaborating with architects and contractors to integrate solar panels and optimize energy efficiency. - **Smart Home Technology:** The smart home technology industry can tap into the trend of rotating homes by developing innovative solutions for automation, security, and customization in these advanced living spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chic Curved Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/curved-house1.md) - [Stilts-Reading Suspended Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-hole-with-the-house-around.md) - [Glossy Panelled Pentagonal Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pinwheel.md) - [Barn-Form Family Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twisted-house1.md) - [Sculptural Inverted Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-with-an-inverted-roof.md) - [Curved Garden-Surrounding Linear Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/casa-dos-terraos-circulares.md) - [Compact Refurbished Micro-Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sassi.md) - [Sustainable Dynamic Hilltop Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ro54.md) - [Circular Garden Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-o.md)
