Robert Buelteman knows how to make a photograph electrifying--literally. Who needs to use a camera when you can just place [flowers onto film](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flower-preservation) and then shock them with 80,000 volts? This may not be a traditional form of photography, but it sure is an exciting as well as beautiful one.

His art is a version of a popular 1930s technique called [Kirlian Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/still-life-1). Buelteman’s images show flora glowing brightly around their edges in an almost enchanted way.

Who would have thought jumper cables and [flower photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/farming-photographs) would work so well together?
