# Magnificent Mineral Movables Riviera Tables Embody the Character of Ticino Swiss Outdoor Furniture By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-03-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riviera-tables References: [archidesignclub](http://www.archidesignclub.com/magazine/rubriques/design/45652) & [dadadum](http://www.dadadum.com/product/riviera) There is a timeless beauty to these [Riviera Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riviera-maya-edition) that references the outdoor rock furnishings in the grottos of the Ticino Valley. Typically comprising a large slab that's supported by a pair of panels beneath either end, these gathering places have a beautiful basic quality that easily fulfils a need. For DADADUM, Alfredo Häberli created a collection of three pieces of furniture that comprises a coffee table, a console table and a side table. Each one is assembled with [thinly sliced sections of stone](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/terra-frammenti) that are slotted together with polished precision. Every component that goes into the Riviera Tables has smooth rounded corners and edges for a naturally worn effect to the Cresciano, Calanca, Lodrino and Onsernone marbles. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.5/10 - Popularity: 4% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Stone Furniture:** Stone furniture designs that reflect natural aesthetics are gaining popularity - **Minimalist Tables:** Minimalist table designs that prioritize functionality and simplicity are on the rise - **Sustainable Materials:** Designers are incorporating sustainable materials such as natural stone into their furniture pieces ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Home decor industry can push for sustainable and natural-looking furniture options for contemporary homes - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can incorporate minimalist yet distinctive stone furniture designs to create unique spaces - **Architecture:** Stone furniture designs can be integrated into modern architecture to add a natural touch and complement outdoor spaces ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature-Inspired Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riva-collection.md) - [Raw Stone-Inspired Jagged Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fels-coffee-table.md) - [Chic Stone Fragment Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skrivo-for-miniforms-pinto.md) - [Artful Stone Table Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tom-black.md) - [Minimalist Monolithic Table Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taula-table-collection.md) - [Versatile Travertine-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morten-georgsen.md) - [Marble Fragment Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miscellaneous-side-table.md) - [Geologically Fluid Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-geology-table-collection.md) - [Nature-Inspired Rocky Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pebble-rubble.md)
